Hi everyone,
we had a nice relaxing last day around the pool on our last day in Singapore, there was more of a breeze but you had to keep getting in the pool every 10 mins or so to cool down. The hotel let us keep the room until 2pm, then gave us a courtesy room, it really has been a fab hotel. They turned the beds down every evening, put a fresh orchid on the pillow, set low lighting and put relaxing music on the Bose sound system in the room! Everything was electronically operated from a control pad, I definatley need one of those!
We left the airport on 11.20pm flight, tried to sleep but not easy, landed at 08.30, that’s another nights sleep gone! Steve’s mate Stuart collected us from the airport and gave us a mini tour of the city, and drove along the bay road to his house.We stayed at a beachside cafe on the way home, it was lovely, got chatting to a lady that had a retriever/poodle cross (cant remember what she called it), and she was telling me about the areas where dog can run freely on the beach, Sandringham is one of these areas, which is where we are staying.
So we are now staying with Stuart and Maria until Sun lunch time, they have been so helpful. We went to a big mall to get a sim for my phone, so I now have a mobile again, Ellie was looking at blackberry’s of course, not bad prices. We also picked up forms for medicare (bit like NHS), registered for a tax number, then on the way back arranged a hire car. We have a Nissan x-trail for a week!
We did have appointments to goon a school tour last night and 09.15 this morning, but we feel so washed out, we decided not to go. So shortly, we are going to look at a few areas we think would be nice places to live, then look for schools in those areas. Think we will need a few days before we start feeling ok again. The weather is sunny at the moment, we did have some rain yesterday, but we have to remember that it is going into winter now, bit like our October, so not too bad, still 20.0c!
I think xena will have arrived in Melbourne now, bet she is in shock!! Will ring later to check she is ok, we will be able to visit Thur or Fri, need to leave them for 24 hours to settle in apparently.
Hopefully will be able to speak on skype to you soon, will be happy when we get into our rental for 6 weeks though, fed up of living out of suitcases now!

Arr!! well so glad you made it there, not long now before you can get settled in, kick the shoes off anf wonder ‘how the hell you did it in such a short space of time’ !!
Enjoy the next few weeks, sun starting to stay out a tad longer here also! still breezy thou!
Your house is fine, never seems to be much activity going on when i walk past!

So glad you got there safely. Hope Xena has not had to much of a stressful journey and glad to see you have got your priorities right for finding out the good doggie beaches. I bet you are all shattered after all that travelling, but at least you have seen different things. And you have got lots more new experiences to come, so we say enjoy.

Hi glad you got there safely nothing changed here so don,t fret have a great time am now on skype, taking stephens advice getting a new computer this weekend end about time your mum is putting us to shame with all her technology moves, she’s actually teaching us a thing or two keep in touch girls send big kisses and cuddles katie thought zena was arriving via parachute the vivid mind of a 4 year old!! hope she is ok

Been checking on house, did not know you let it out to a chinese family, they have changed decor a bit, using lots of tin foil and pipe ducting, but they seem nice people.

Hope everyone is ok and the weather isnt too nice, cos its been sh… here so far!! Strange seeing the leaves going yellow and falling off the trees, like being in a time warp! Speak on skpe soon xx
